Brand ambassadors play an
important role in marketing as do many other marketing jobs. They come up with influential
methods to consumers through their own loyalty to a certain brand like (Sony,
Microsoft and other brand companies). They are pick specifically through
marketers by online networking, and are closely examined by the marketers. It’s
just like how some people are always talking about how great Microsoft products
are to friends, family and even to strangers. The people who consistently tell
how great a company’s products are chosen to be brand ambassadors by marketers
were they receive advanced training and experience in the product they love so
much. “But these days, thanks to modern technology,
armed with little more than a video camera, laptop, and a cell phone, anyone
can spread the word about products and brand experiences to thousands, even
millions, of other consumers.” Marketing at work 5.1 Brand Ambassadors: Employing Real
Customers to get out the Word on Chapter 5 Understanding
Consumer and Business Buyer Behavior. (Page 15 of 59 — printed page 143) The consumers who get training are
armed with the knowledge of being a brand ambassador. The marketers target
colleges for potential brand ambassadors do to the constant follow of future
consumers. Facebook as made it that much greater to get the word of a brand out
to the general populace. They also check on Facebook for brand ambassadors,
they analyze their pages on items they write about and determine whether or not
to approach that consumer for training. “Brand ambassador programs leverage the power
of peer-to-peer communication. Consumers hear about products and brand
experiences from others just like themselves—people they trust—rather than from
commercial marketing sources.” Marketing at work 5.1 Brand Ambassadors: Employing

EOC WEEK 5: Me Times 3
The
way this hat with second infantry division defines me, is the fact that I had
some of my worst and some of my best moments while serving with that unit in
the active army. This hat allows people to know that I am a veteran of the U.S
Army, and what one of the units I served with while in the military. I bought
this hat because I still have a lot of friends that still serve under this unit
and the ones who have died in this unit. In my own little way it’s me showing
them I have not forgotten them and the things they have accomplished. Even
when I was younger I use to take my moms’ camera and make little home movies
with it, to this day I have admired the artistry of motion pictures. I aspire
to be a great director one day and hopefully inspire those who have the same
dream to pursue their goals. When people see me walking around with my camera
they usually approach me and ask if I’m filming anything for a video. I wish I
could say yes but I haven’t been able to approach that goal yet, but I haven’t
stop chasing my goals yet. I wear my dad’s dog tags all the time because before I was
born he served in the army too. Sometimes people ask me if they are mine but I
let them know they are my dad’s. My dad didn’t die in the military but I never
had the chance to meet him because he died in a car accident when I was three
years old. So in my own way I’m trying to let him know that his son will always
try to be great, so I can get my family out of the situation there in and place them in happier times.

WEEK 4 EOC: Business to Business VS. Consumer Marketing
My perspective of Business to Business VS. Consumer
Marketing is that consumer marketing would bring more revenue than business to
business. Because without consumers period there would be no marketing, with
everyday consumers you can conduct multiple surveys, reviews and more. That
will allow you to better manufacture and market your product. I believe
business to business marketing would come when your company builds a good
public approval first. Consumer’s make up the biggest buyers in a company. "When you start developing your business plan, it's important to identify yourself as either a business to business or business to consumer company. This detail guides your entire proposal, from the type of products you'll offer to your marketing plan. These two types of operations have basic differences and similarities."Read more: Business to Business Vs. Business to Consumer | eHow.com http://www.ehow.com/info_7769133_business-business-vs-business-consumer.html#ixzz2DMkjmpjS The only companies that I can see that need
business to business marketing is the ones who specifically make their products
for businesses. Such as advertisement companies and production agencies, these
companies survive off of businesses. But
there is not allot of business to business companies that I can think of, only
those that advertise to people who are starting a small business or already
have a business. For instance the
pharmaceutical companies only survive off of consumers. If the pharmaceutical
companies made a cure for every disease and virus in the world they would be
out of business and have no consumers, but if they make their medicines to slowly
cure consumers than they make more profit off the consumers of their products."Business to consumer transactions, also called B2C for short, involve relations directly between a company and the end user of the company's products or services. An end user is a person who buys a product for consumption, not reselling purposes."

Consumer Marketing, personally I believe consumer marketing is highly needed for all of these companies to survive. Marketing your products to consumers is key to having a healthy company, because through consumers you can better all their needs and yours, consider it as free advice through the very people you are trying to connect with as a business marketer. But don’t get me wrong for I know that marketing to businesses are just as important to your company as well, because without the other businesses you wouldn’t have your product."A business to business, or B2B, deal occurs between two commercial entities. One common B2B transaction is when a company orders goods from a supplier or wholesaler." Read more: Business to Business Vs. WEEK 4 BOC: Theres An App For That
If I made an app, I would make it for life
expectancy/ future health problems. Were you can check through genetic history
and future circumstances your life expectancy. I know at first people
would be afraid, but in a true sense people really do want to know about how
they will come to pass. Some people don't want to know, but a majority of
people want to put their mind at ease on how long they have left in this
life, or what health issue they may have in the future through testing of their
blood. It would act just like a diabetes test. But It would give an estimated
time line of when that event is going to happen in their life. In a way
that type of app would allow you to plan ahead and prepare if not try and
prevent that health issue from happening to them. It would also be cheaper than
going to the doctors and getting all of those tests done to find out your
health issue. People always want to know things prior to that specific event
happening in their lives, because sometimes the future can be so scary to them.
But everyone wants to know, no matter how terrible the issue may be people feel
at ease to be able to expect the unexpected. I wouldn’t doubt that some people who
deal with those types of technology, have thought of the possibilities of a
technology that could do exactly what I have written in this blog. I can only
hope that this app would be used the right way and not a way of prejudice
against people, but as a tool to help somebody with their individual self.
People have a certain curse on using things that are meant for good an flipping
it to benefit the bad.

Week 3 EOC: Making Money for Good
"GIVE A HAND,FOR HOME'S" |
McDonald's has been encouraging it's customer's to donate to their charity for almost 40 years. I chose this charity because a lot of people see McDonald's as a corporation that doesn't give back to it's customer's. But their charity help's people with a very tough decision, especially as a parent. They provide a home for families that have a child in a hospital far away from their own home. It allows a parent to relax during a hard period in their life. McDonald's number one goal is to keep parents close to their child while their child is ill or injured. "The mission of Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) is to create, find and support programs that directly improve the health and well being of children." When I was in the U.S Army every year they made us look over hundreds of charities and chose as many as we wanted to donate to, at first I was surprised that they forced us to donate but it all made sense when I truly thought of why we donated. We are soldiers and our mission was to always put civilians lives' above our own. Even though a lot of fresh soldiers didn't think it was fair, they were missing the point of serving their country. I seen a lot of children who needed treatment but they could only be treated in certain parts of the country. And thanks to donors like McDonald's people are allowed to take some stress off their minds and focus on the reason they are there. "At Ronald McDonald House Charities, we owe our continued success to the tireless work of volunteers and the countless contributions from our donors. Because of you, we’ve been helping improve the lives of children and their families for 38 years." When you really add up all the costs to take care of someone who is sick it is a huge amount of money for the treatment alone, but then you add the cost's to live in that location it almost seems impossible to be able to pay that off. Myself as a parent I know in my heart that if my child was to ever be so sick to wind up in a hospital far away from home, I would give anything to be there to help my child through their struggle. Even if it caused me to be homeless, and broken in society, but with places that donate to charities like this one it would give me a chance to stay stable and not worry about that kind of issue. "Many families travel far from home to get treatment for their seriously ill or injured children. Often, it can be a long time to be away from home, or to divide a family. And, for children facing a serious medical crisis, nothing seems scarier than not having their mom and dad close by for love and support."http://rmhc.org/
Week 3 EOC: My Demographics
As a person born to
millennials generation I do feel that my generation is electronically
proficient however, as more technology continues to appear the next generation
will be more proficient then us. Our generation is very fluent and comfortable
with digital technology. As an internet user myself I have never felt the need
for being a part of the social networking though, because I see a lot of
negativity coming out of social networking. All of my grandparents were born in
the baby boom generation. I also am a frequent user of the World Wide Web, I do
find the uses in the internet and I see the benefits in its uses. “The
83 million children of the baby boomers, born between 1977 and 2000. 77 percent
of Millennials frequent social networking sites and 71 percent use instant
messaging.” Armstrong & Kotler (2011). Marketing: An Introduction, 10th
Ed. Prentice Hall Publishing Page 72 & Page 73 I feel that my generation has been able
to grasp all the concepts of technology but I know that the generation above us
and passed them will be very proficient with all the technologies of the
future. Because of the huge changes in todays world, I have witnessed how my
generation has asked the children in the next generation how something works.” 91 percent of
Millennials are on the Web, making up 32 percent of all U.S. Internet users.
The Millennials were the first generation to grow up in a world filled with
computers, cellphones, satellite TV, iPods, and online social networks.” Armstrong
& Kotler (2011). Marketing: An Introduction, 10th Ed. Prentice
Hall Publishing Page 72 & Page 73 My generation makes up quite a bit
of the marketing revenue for businesses. But as history has taught all of us
life can change at the turn of a dime, so to conclude my work I am looking
forward to seeing what the future holds for technology in general. “With a total
purchasing power of more than $733 billion, millennials make up a huge and
attractive market. One thing that all of the Millennials have in common is their
utter fluency and comfort with digital technology.” Armstrong & Kotler (2011). Marketing: An

Week 2 EOC: Boston Consulting Group - Video Games
Mobile devices are better than at home gaming console's especially
for laptop, ipad, kindle, etc. users because they are cheaper and less of a
hassle to worry about. Most mobile device games, "now that technology has
come so far", online gaming is starting to be in high demand. The video
gaming industry on consoles games has raised the prices of those products
dramatically, were as Mobile Devices generally cost half the dollar amount of
their sister product. “Sales of video games themselves, excluding PC titles, fell 25
percent to $432.6 million. Sales of hardware such as Microsoft's Xbox 360 fell
37 percent to $187.3 million. Sales of accessories, meanwhile, grew 5 percent
to $135.6"
million.http://news.yahoo.com/us-video-game-sales-drop-25-percent-october-000130390.html
Whereas the home console systems are slowly starting to fall off the market, because no one wants to feel like they have to be in front of the television to play games. With the mobile device you can play games anywhere you see fit. Some game designers have even begun to focus more on mobile device games, then CD ROM gaming (XBOX360, PS3, WII, ETC.) Consumers want faster and less time consuming games nowadays, But there still is people who feel strongly about the home console systems for game. “There is nothing wrong with simple games; in fact, I believe that the simple games such as Angry Birds, Osmos, and Flick Gulf are the best games for a phone platform. They are easy to play have great graphics and require little time when you are on the go. These simple games to me are the limit of what phones are capable of doing and not according to processing power, but rather to playability."http://androidandme.com/thread/will-phones-ever-become-primary-gaming-consoles/
Although all mobile devices have a little further to go to surpass home game consoles, the mobile industry is still working on better improvements for their system, it still has a huge advantage over the other gaming industries. Myself as a consumer of gaming merchandise, i believe by the year 2020 everything will be connected to some form of a mobile system. And with all the improvements already those changes to life are happening very rapidly. "In the past three years, we have gone from a smattering of mobile statistics to an abundance of useful information. But there's still a long way to go, there are still huge gaps in our knowledge, some countries enjoy a proliferation of data sources, while others have little or none; and the quality of statistics varies incredibly. As telecoms regulators and industry associations start to collect and share meaningful data, things will only get better."http://mobithinking.com/mobile-marketing-tools/latest-mobile-stats

Week 1 EOC: My Voice
Film-making to me is
taking an idea of a character or a storyline and bring it to life
on a motion picture, even when I was younger I knew I wanted to be a
director. I would always have a camera in my hands and have my
brothers and sister act out scenes from movies. I still go to the
movies and start to get into it but there are always some scenes
where I’d think that they could have done better on especially now
technology is so advanced, some movies look as if they are in Italy,
but really they are in a studio with a green screen, but you would
never know by the way the green screen technology has advanced. I've
been in the military for 5 years, I've traveled to many different
countries and the scenery is so beautiful, that's what I want in my
movies, to have that beauty on a green screen. I want to bring
beauty, inspiration, love, war and history to my audience.
I want to make a movie that
opens peoples minds, a movie that people cant predict what will
happen next or the ending. Being a director is not just making a
movie to me, its making something that can inspire and change the way
that people think and feel about life. It is very amazing to be able
to put all of my hard work in to something that I believe in and know
that my audience enjoyed the movie I have made and to be able to see
their reactions.

Week 1 EOC:Great Customer Experience
My
greatest experience as a customer was when I had bought an amplifier and a set
of speakers from Best Buys electronic department. I purchased them, had them
installed and was happy for about a week, but then the subwoofer speaker blew
out. So I went back to the same store to get my speakers checked out, and the
replaced it with a brand new speaker and also readjusted the controls on the
amplifier, then they sent me on my way. Two weeks went by and the subwoofer
blows out again, same product and everything.
I was about to give up and get my money back, but when I went into the store for the third time the employee who installed my sound system apologized for the problems I had with my speakers I had purchased and upgraded the amplifier and speakers for free. At first I thought that there was going to be some sort of gimmick before he printed out the receipt that shows the discount and the swap, but even the store manager came out and approved the transaction. While the employee installed the system the manager apologized again for the inconveniences and told me if there is a problem in the future just to come back in and get a full refund. I ended up having to come back again and asked for the manager and told him that my amplifier was not working anymore so he had the electronics employee check it out and it ended up being my car that had the issue, so they took everything out and gave me a refund. I ended up buying a flat screen TV instead but the entire time this issue was happening all the employees who handled my situation stayed calm and extremely helpful, but they also know how to create a great customer relationship and experience.
"Today’s successful companies have one thing in common: Like Zappos, they are strongly customer-focused and heavily committed to marketing. These companies share a passion for understanding and satisfying customer needs in well-defined target markets. They motivate everyone in the organization to help build lasting customer relationships based on creating value." PAGE 4; Armstrong & Kotler (2011). Marketing: An Introduction, 10th Ed.
